Andrew Law
I was brought up in Dover and Deal, and after a few years away obtaining my Law Degree at the University of Leicester and passing the Law Society Finals exams at the College of Law in Guildford I returned to spend the early years of my legal career with a firm in Dover. After qualifying as a Solicitor I moved to another practice in Essex where I worked for some 24 years before returning to Deal. I find Deal and the East Kent area offers a high quality of life and the perfect work/life balance.
I joined Hardmans in May 2017, initially as a senior Assistant Solicitor but now a Partner in the firm.
My main areas of work are:
- conveyancing (both residential and commercial)
- Wills
- Probate
- Powers of Attorney
I have some 28 years’ post-qualified experience in this. I do particularly enjoy the personal client contact which my work involves; it can be challenging since some clients will come to us when faced with stressful or difficult events in their lives where they need our support and empathy as much as legal advice.
I believe I communicate well with clients at all levels and it is satisfying to be part of a team at Hardmans providing a broad legal service to the local community.
Out of the office I remain, as I have done for some 30 years, an aspiring golfer but like so many golfers I fear that I am unlikely to fulfil whatever limited potential I might have! I also have a keen interest in amateur astronomy.
