COVID-19 ANNOUNCEMENT

Hardmans pleased to say that we have re-opened our front door to the public, having carried out various office alterations to ensure the safety of our staff, clients and visitors.  We have added a screen in reception on the reception desk; we have marked out the office to assist staff and clients to keep a 2m social distance and we have ensured our interview rooms are all configured to allow for social distancing, as well as ensuring your consultation remains confidential and private.  We have also carried out, in accordance with Government guidelines a full Covid-Secure Risk Assessment and training of all of our staff.  In addition we have had our building fully and extensively cleaned and “fogged”.  More information on fogging is available from the links below but we trust this will give our staff and clients greater peace of mind regarding the cleanliness of our offices and the safety procedures we have undertaken.  We are treading carefully but very pleased to be moving forward, albeit slowly and cautiously.

We are still encouraging remote appointments on the telephone or video call where possible, but a lot of our business is very sensitive and can only be (or is best) discussed face to face on a confidential basis, especially with divorce or separation matters and Wills and other matters for people who may struggle with dealing with very complex matters remotely.  So we are now offering face to face appointments in the office where necessary.  We may also be able to offer a home visit, but this will be subject to a risk assessment first and cannot yet be guaranteed.  We are still working with a reduced level of staff but managing to offer our full range of legal services again now, which we are very pleased about – Small steps forward whilst keeping our staff and clients as safe as we can.

We want to continue offering the personal, reliable service that Hardmans is known for.  We have no reported cases of the virus amongst our staff currently and we are adopting best practice on cleanliness and sanitising.   Our main aim is to be able to continue to serve the people of Deal and the surrounding areas with minimum disruption to our clients.

Our staff are part of a small team and we are all committed to providing you with the excellent level of service that you are used to.
